I was born in Compton California October 12^th 1971.  I moved all over the place growing up and now live in and love Dallas Texas.  I had a goal at the beginning of all this to fight in the big show and making a living doing so and I have accomplished that.  I fought in all the biggest events and have fought for titles in almost all of them.  I have a very fast paced fighting style with only 1 of my wins coming by decision and the rest by submission or knockout.  Only 2 of my 20 wins have gone out of the first round.  MMA has provided an awesome and exciting lifestyle for my family and I and I’ve gotten to travel all over the world fighting and teaching my knowledge.  Below is a list of some of my accomplishments:

  ◊ I received a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in just 7 years

  ◊ I was the first American to represent Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in an MMA fight in Brazil

  ◊ I was the first full time NOGI Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor in the USA

  ◊ I was the first fighter to fight and win in the UFC lightweight Division

  ◊ I was the first fighter to fight and win in the Pride Bushido lightweight division

  ◊ I was the first King of the Cage Middleweight World Champion (3X’s)

  ◊ I am the founder of The Next Generation Fighting Academy and Next Generation MMA
      in California, Arizona, Texas, Ireland, England, and Canada.  The first Next Generation
      was founded in 1998.

  ◊ I founded NOGI Industries in 2003

  ◊ I am the founder and am currently running Next Generation Sports Performance in
      Dallas, Texas
